New .com and .net domain name registrations totaled 10.3 million at the end of the fourth quarter of 2019

Verisign (NASDAQ – VRSN) released their Q4 2019 Domain Name Industry Brief.

The report shows 362.3 Million Domain Name Registrations In The Fourth Quarter Of 2019

From the report:

The .com and .net TLDs had a combined total of 158.8 million domain name registrations in the domain name base3 at the end of the fourth quarter of 2019, an increase of 1.5 million domain name registrations, or 0.9 percent, compared to the third quarter of 2019. The .com and .net TLDs had a combined increase of 5.9 million domain name registrations, or 3.9 percent, year over year. As of Dec. 31, 2019, the .com domain name base totaled 145.4 million domain name registrations, and the .net domain name base totaled 13.4 million domain name registrations.

New .com and .net domain name registrations totaled 10.3 million at the end of the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to 9.5 million domain name registrations at the end of the fourth quarter of 2018.
