Google Chrome users urged to use hidden feature guaranteed to make browsers faster

If you’re tired of your slow loading Google Chrome browser then stop what you are doing and read this.

A slow internet browser can be a massive headache in 2020 – especially if you’ve spent all of lockdown working at home.

Slow loading videos, news websites, football highlights and Spotify can leave you frustrated and tearing your hair out.

So, what if we told you a sneaky trick could massively improve your computer’s performance?

Techdows reports a new extension, ‘Extensions Checkup’, can be added to your browser – and, impressively, it warns Google Chrome users about any add-ons that can affect your browsing speed.

So, if you have any add-ons draining your performance which you deem unnecessary, you can get rid of them.

And the removal could mean those footy highlights or YouTube playlist play much, much quicker.

Visit chrome://flags page and then search for ‘extensions checkup’. In the corresponding drop down menu you’ll be presented with a number of choices.

Option three reads: “A healthier, happier Chrome.

“Some extensions can slow you down – especially ones you didn’t mean to install.

“If you don’t recognize an extension, or if your browser isn’t working as expected, you can turn off or customize extensions here”.

Option four reads: “Check your extensions.

“Some extensions can see your browsing activity – including personal information.

“If you don’t recognize an extension, or if your browser isn’t working as expected, you can turn off or customize extensions here.”
