Kyiv Data Center Outage: Service Impact and Recovery Plan

Service notice, last updated 23 September 2026

Russian attacks in Kyiv on 23 September directly affected both data centers that host part of Impreza’s infrastructure. The facilities lost power and network connectivity and remain offline while data center engineers work to restore power and connections. Our engineers are coordinating with both facilities and colleagues at our other locations.

Our current information indicates that most servers in the data halls remain intact. This is preliminary: we do not yet have physical access to complete an inspection of every system, so we cannot confirm the condition or restoration time for each affected service.

What we are doing to restore VPS instances

We have begun migrating VPS instances from the affected Ukraine nodes using off-site VM backups created on 23 September. The restored VPS will receive a new IP address.

If your VPS has not yet been migrated and you have a preferred location, please open a support ticket and tell us where you would like it restored. If you do not have a preference, our team will select the nearest suitable offshore location based on available capacity.

Recovery options for dedicated servers

Impreza does not hold backups for dedicated servers. If you have your own backup and need replacement hardware, contact our team through a support ticket. We will do our best to arrange a dedicated server in the Netherlands so you can restore your data. We will confirm the available option with you before proceeding.

What customers can expect

We cannot responsibly provide a restoration time until the facilities are accessible and their engineers verify the infrastructure. We are monitoring the situation continuously, coordinating recovery work, and helping affected customers with VPS migrations or dedicated server restoration requests.

We will publish further verified information through the Impreza Host portal announcements. If your service is affected, include your service ID and preferred recovery location in a support ticket. Do not include passwords, private keys, or recovery codes.

We apologize for the disruption and understand the impact an outage can have on your operations. Our teams are working to restore service and assist customers as quickly as conditions allow.

Reporting on the wider Kyiv disruption

Independent reporting has described damage to data center and internet infrastructure and wider connectivity problems in Kyiv. These reports provide regional context; the service information above comes from updates provided to Impreza by its data center operators and engineering teams: Reuters report via MarketScreener, Kyiv Post, and Ukrainska Pravda.
