$500 or less .COM ONLY
READ EVERYTHING FIRST so you are not surprised if your comment is not published ore removed.
This post should be used to sell a name where you are making some money with no commission, and leave a little for the next buyer.
With things the way they are I am going to allow up to 5 names to be listed to give you a little more exposure. A few people emailed asking if I could make this weekly as it’s free and others apparently want to charge a subscription to include a domain or two for sale.
So I will look to make it weekly but people need to abide by the rules, it’s free, you have to honor your sales or you will be blocked from the site, anything that slips by will get deleted immediately.
Last week we had more than a handful number of sales. If you sell a name please post it sold if you got an email rather than someone posting sold here. That way people know the name no longer for sale.
I also had a number of people who follow the rules email me about people who don’t. Raymond why no registrar? Raymond why no renewal price.
So please make sure you list 5 names max, like this
Name, asking price, registrar, if it’s an exotic cctld or new gtld leave the renewal price, you do not have to do this for com/net/org.
Potential buyers are allowed to make an offer below your price unless you say FIRM. This is an attempt to drive more sales.
Every once in awhile there will be a comment about do we expect great names listed for $500? come on. No we don’t expect a great name, it’s about a name you want to sell that another domainer would want to buy, a deal where both sides feel good. Last post 3 names sold.
We have done $3,000 and $5,000 limits and guess what? No sales, partly because people just post a reg fee name at the max limit.
Where these posts have generated sales has been with the $500 – $1,000 limit. This is not for end user pricing or some obscure new gtld to sell. Mike and I have bought some names from these posts when there was a decent name for a decent price.
So this post is for the best name you are willing to sell right now with a $500 max price. Up to 5 names listed only. There have been a few who have tried to post more names using a different email address/name same IP all submissions will be deleted if caught.
Names will get some added exposure on Twitter, which is where about one third of sales have generated from previous posts.
When you post your names, either post firm, or you will allow people to make an offer that’s close in the thread. Don’t worry if someone posts something ridiculous like $1 or $10 on a $500 name it will be deleted.
The post should consist of only three elements:
- Name/Price/Firm or will accept offers
- Registrar/Expiration date/Premium renewal must be listed if a cctld or new gtld.
- How to contact
So not to waste anyone’s precious time, any post that strays from this will be deleted. Examples:
- More than 5 names listed
- Another extension other than .com
- A paragraph to describe the reasons why someone should buy.
- Critiquing another poster’s domain name.
- Listing price over $500
No need to post or email why did my comment get deleted ? If your post does not look like Name, Fixed Price, Contact, it will be deleted. Also no need to email if comment not approved, if I did not see your comment, I did not see your email. Some people do post when I am sleeping for a few hours, if it gets held in moderation it will get approved once I see it, no need to worry or post, why is my comment in moderation?
If you make a sale leaving a comment is appreciated.
