TOTVS, a national software development company, purchased 92% of the digital marketing automation platform, RD Station, for R $ 1.8 billion. The information was published in a statement to investors on Tuesday (09). The amount must be paid at the closing of the transaction and is subject to adjustments.
RD Station is a company that offers digital marketing services and solutions since 2011. It was founded by partners Eric Santos, Guilherme Lopes, Bruno Ghisi, André Siqueira and Pedro Bachiega in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina.
Originally called Digital Results, the company decided to adopt the name of its main product, RD Station, since the beginning of this year.
In addition to its main digital marketing automation tool, RD Station also offers RD Station CRM, for process management and sales professionals.
The purchase of RD Station represents an investment by TOTVS in the business-to-business (B2B) market, “a definitive step in the consolidation of the Business Performance dimension, which is fundamental in the strategy of building an ecosystem of B2B technologies, also composed by the dimensions of Management and Techfin “, writes the financial vice president and investor relations director, Gilsomar Maia Sebastião.
Sebastião explains that TOTVS will continue to offer more information about the purchase and that the conclusion of the sale has yet to be approved by the Brazilian competition authorities, in addition to “checking other usual conditions for this type of business”.
