Almost 280 creators of OnlyFans had their adult content leaked

Almost 280 breeders adult content for the platform OnlyFans, had their videos and photos stolen, compiled and exposed in a giant, free Google Drive repository last month.

The massive leak was identified by the American information security firm, BackChannel, in a very popular forum for sharing leaks, on the shallow internet.

Sharing adult content from independent creators of OnlyFans (and other pornography platforms) is nothing new. But, according to BleepingComputer, which received information from Aaron DeVera, founder of BackChannel, this is a massive leak, which brings together 279 content creators.

To access the Google Drive link, it is necessary to create an account and make a comment, so neither The Hack nor BleepingComputer were able to identify the actual size of the repository. However, DeVera told Bleeping Computer, that at least one folder (representing a creator) has more than 10 GB of videos and photos.

Also according to DeVera, who is a member of the Cyber Sexual Abuse Task Force in New York, USA, the content was probably extracted in October 2020 and due to the large number of creators, he believes the content has been compiled by a group of people.

OnlyFans

OnlyFans is an adult content site where content creators post photos and videos and interact with their followers, for a pre-established price. “OnlyFans has somewhat weak content controls around its content. There are plenty of bots and scrapers that a legitimate subscriber can use“DeVera told BleepingComputer.

BackChannel informs that it is investigating the leak as well as trying to contact the San Francisco City College, in the USA, from where the files were apparently downloaded.

In addition, the company has created a tool so that the creators of OnlyFans can check whether they are among the 279 affected.

BleepingComputer contacted Google, which can easily drop the link from the repository, but has not received a response.

This is not the first massive leak from OnlyFans. According to Insider, in February 2020, terabytes of adult content from digital influencers were downloaded free of charge on the Mega site. Leak estimates range from 1.4 Terabytes to 4 Terabytes (4000 GB).
