The women, although they have higher levels of graduation and more certifications, they still represent about a quarter (24%) of security professionals in the world. However, this scenario is constantly changing and women are increasingly asserting themselves in the area, especially in leadership positions.
According to the study, “Women in Cybersecurity“, of International Information System Security Certort Consortium, or (ISC) ², American NGO for training and certifications for cybersecurity professionals, the number of women in the area is growing considerably.
Although they still represent a minority in the sector, the number of women working with cybersecurity went from 13% in 2017 to 24% in 2018, an increase of 13%.

To celebrate Women’s Day (March 8), here comes: #WOMTECHCG | Women in Cybersecurity, a live event that will host great women, information security professionals, to discuss topics such as the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), post-pandemic scenario and other topics in the technology and cybersecurity sector.
THE #WOMTECHCG starts in Monday (3/8) and go to Wednesday (10/03) with two schedules: from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
