Blogspot.in a name that Google allowed it’s registration to lapse, sells for $5,999 at Sedo

Back in June Google lost control of the Blogspot.in domain name. It was reported about in many tech blogs and publications. This error on Google’s part caused millions of blogs to break

Spotted by The Next Web and BleepingComputer, Google apparently let the blogspot.in domain lapse in early June, with Google no longer in control of that domain. Rather, it’s now being held by domainming.com and is available for purchase by anyone with $5,999 to spare.

The domain was actually registered: 2020-06-24

Well looking at Namebio tonight someone paid the $5,999 to purchase the domain name at Sedo.

Nothing has updated yet but one would figure it would be Google who bought the name.
